Our 10 steps cleaning process for carpet cleaning
1.INSPECTION
Soling:
Check depth of soil and signs of permanent staining
Fixings:
Poor fixings may increase the risk of shrinkage
Seams:
Poorly jointed seams may split during cleaning through water or heat
Backings:
Type of backing may influence the method of cleaning Same backings are prone shrinkage
From this information decide on and method of cleaning to be employed
2.DYE TEST
All colors must be chemically PH tested to ensure use of correct cleaning solution
3.FIBRE TEST
Fibre identification will help to determine use of correct cleaning solution it will also assist prejudgment on whether stains are removable
CLEANING OPERATIONS
4.COMB PILE
Release matted pile for more effective dust extraction
5.POWER VACUUM
To extract dust and grit and other dry soil to prevent turning dust into a muddy residue.
6.TREAT STAINES
Prior to main cleaning operation, to ensure that full depth of stain its removed
7.SPRAY PRE-TREATMENT
Use a specially formulated traffic lane cleaner to dissolve greasy soils Agitate to depth of soil
8.DEEP-CLEANING
Clean carpet overall using the system and method decided at the INSPECTION stage
9.HAND CLEANING
Clean all edges stairs and other inaccessible areas by hand using appropriate method
10.SATISFACTORY COMPLETION
Realign pile
Pile must be correctly set whilst damp Replace furniture only when necessary place on protector pads or blocks
Our 8 steps cleaning process for upholstery cleaning
1.INSPECTION
Age and if previously cleaned
Type of fabric Soiling/stains/possible hidden stains
Shrinkage/watermarks
Loose wood stain .
Wear/fading
Loose braids/fringes/ruches
Qualify customer on possible cleaning result.
2.TEST FOR:
Fibre type
Dye stability
Shrinkage
Distortion on velvet to ensure that the fabric be safely wet cleaned. Velvet fabrics should be tested for WET CLEANING and possible DISTORTION.
Some velvets are DRY CLEANABLE ONLY.
CLEANING OPERATIONS
3. DEEP POWER VACUUM
To extract dry soil/dust/grit etc. from surface and all edges, corners, folds and crevices
4.TREAT SPOTS AND STAINS
Using correct stain remover to lessen risk of spreading during cleaning. e.g. ball-point ink marks
5.CLEANING METHOD
Subject to qualified limitations
Using one or more of the following Prochem methods :
Soil Crystallisation
– low molsture foam
Soil extraction –
deep wet clean with pre-treatment
Soll absorption –
dry clean solvent
6.RESTORE FINISH TO FABRIC
By rinse neutralizing and/or brushing and grooming the fabric.
Do not replace cushions until dry
7.VENTILATION
Heavily soiled fabrics will take longer to dry than normal. A mechanical air mover may be of benefit to hasten drying
8.FINAL CHECK
Check all body contact areas for soiling. Where necessary, wipe over all hard trims. DO NOT REPLACE CUSHIONS which must be left loose to dry completely Replace fumiture in its original position. Replace cushions only when dry
